Chief Minister’s Balochistan Gold Cup Hockey

On the third day of Chief Minister Balochistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament 21, Pakistan WAPDA outclassed Sindh Colors by scoring 12 goals. National Bank defeated Punjab Whites by four goals after a thrilling contest. In the third match played today, Punjab Colors defeated Balochistan Colors by 07 goals to 02 after an interesting contest. Zain Ijaz from Punjab completed the third hat trick of the tournament. Olympians Shafqat Rasool, Zeeshan Shani and Kashif Shah performed well. Punjab Hockey Team Head Coach Rana Zaheer Ahmed and Manager Rai Usman Akbar Kharal have announced a cash prize of Rs 10,000 for the outstanding performance of Zain Ijaz.

The first match of Chief Minister Balochistan Hockey Gold Cup 21 was played today between Pakistan Wapda and Sindh Colors which was won by Pakistan Wapda by 12 goals to one. The technical officers of the match were Sheikh Ali Abid, Munawar Hussain and Irfan Zia while the duties of the technical officer were performed by Muhammad Ayub.

In the second match played today, National Bank defeated Punjab Whites by 04 goals to 02 after a thrilling contest. In this interesting match, the experienced team of National Bank was scored by the young players of Punjab in the first quarter of the match. In the second quarter, National Bank ended the lead of Punjab Whites by scoring two goals and then National Bank scored two more goals in the fourth quarter of the match. Arsalan Qadir, Amir Ali, Junaid Manzoor and Hanan Shahid scored one goal each for National Bank while Shahzeb and Hafiz Ephraim scored one goal each for Punjab Whites. The match was supervised by umpires Faisal Siam and Abdul Manan while Abdul Wali was the reserve umpire. The technical officials of the match were M Shakeel, Hamza Tufail and Yasir Lodhi while the duties of technical officer were performed by Muhammad Ali.

The third match was played between Punjab Colors and Balochistan Colors which Punjab Colors won in an interesting match by 07 goals to 02. Punjab’s Zain Ijaz scored four goals and completed the third hat trick of the tournament Emad, Zeeshan Bukhari and Abdul Manan scored one goal each for Punjab. From Punjab, Olympians Shafqat Rasool, Zeeshan and Kashif Shah also performed well and made many beautiful moves. Punjab Hockey Association Associate Secretary Rai Usman Akbar Kharal was the manager of the team while Mujahid Afzal International was the coach of the Punjab Hockey Team.

Asfandyar scored two goals on penalty corner for Balochistan Colors. Olympian Shakeel Abbasi from Balochistan also performed brilliantly. The match was supervised by international umpire Haroon Rashid and umpire Sohail Akram Janjua while the responsibilities of reserve umpire were performed by Fahad. The technical officials of the match were Shafqat Hussain Malik, Shiraz Khurshid and M Ahsan while the technical officer duties were performed by Ali Abbas.

Tournament Director Olympian Anjum Saeed has changed the match schedule in the match schedule on March 26 due to Good Friday. Balochistan Whit and the third match will be played between Pakistan Army and Port Qasim at 03:45 pm.
