Punjab A won the first semi-final of the Under-16 National Hockey Championship 20 organized by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. The special guest of the first semi-final was KP Sports Board DG Asfandyar Khattak. He was accompanied by Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr., Member Olympian Khalid Hameed, Olympian Nasir Ali, Chairman Provincial Hockey Association and former IGP Muhammad Saeed Khan. , Tournament Director Syed Zahir Shah, KP Hockey Association Secretary Hidayatullah, Zia Banuri were also present.
The first semi-final was played between Punjab A and Balochistan A. Punjab A won 1-7. Emad and Abuzar scored two goals each for Punjab A. Rana Waleed, Ramzan and Ahmed scored one goal each. Sabtin Raza, Reserve Umpire Sajjad Hussain officiated the match while Judge Hamza, Ijaz Ahmed and Mohammad Yaqoob performed the duties of Technical Officer.
The second semi-final will be played tomorrow between KPA and Punjab C.
