National Seniors Men Hockey Championship

NBP, Customs, Mari Petroleum and PAF have moved into the semifinals of the ongoing 68th DHA National Seniors Men Hockey Championship after beating their rivals in the quarterfinals here at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium Karachi.

In the first quarterfinal NBP defeated Rangers 5-2. Dilber and Aziz scored two goals each. From Rangers Farhan and Abdullah scored one goal each. Aziz was declared man of the match

In the second quarterfinal Customs defeated NAVY 8-7 in a thrilling shootout stage. Hamza, Bilal Aslam and Shahzeb scored one goal each. From NAVY Wasimand Saifullah scored one goal each. Awais Rasheed of Customs was declared man of the match.

In the third quarterfinal Mari Petroleum defeated WAPDA in the shootout stage after a 2-2 draw. From WAPDA Rana Waheed and from Mari Petroleum Rana Waheed scored goals. Abdullah Ishtiaq, the goalkeeper of Mari Petroleum, was declared man of the match.

In the fourth quarterfinal the PAF defeated ARMY in the sudden death stage after drawing 2-2. Mohsin and Shehbaz scored from PAF and Hammad and Saifullah from scored goals. Ali Raza was declared man of the match.

The CEO of Nelson Paints Mohammed Siraj and the CEO Hamdard, were the chief guests. On the occasion the PHF Secretary General Rana Mujahid, President Punjab Hockey Association Olympian Asif Bajwa, Tournament Director Olympians Qamar Ibrahim, Kamran Ashraf, Anjum Saeed, Assistant Tournament Director Azmat Pasha, Aslam Niazi and other officials were also present.
