Pakistan National Hockey Team Head Coach Presidential Award winning Olympian Khawaja Junaid visited Gojra and Toba Tek Singh yesterday and met the players and coaches of more than 150 different hockey academies there and gave them modern letters. He gave lectures to the players and their coaches on technical and physical training and also went to the ground and introduced them to modern technical hockey drills and various methods of physical training and coached them.
Yesterday, Olympian Khawaja Junaid, the head coach of Pakistan senior hockey team, visited Gojra and Toba Tek Singh. On arrival at Gojra International Hockey Stadium at 10 am, Olympian Shahbaz Jr., Khawar Javed International, Babar Abdullah International, Olympian Imran Rasool and other officials of the District Hockey Association, including Ustad Umar, gave a warm welcome to Olympian Khawaja Junaid. A bouquet of flowers was presented to him and flower petals were sprinkled on him.
Olympian Khawaja Junaid gave a one-hour lecture on modern hockey at Gojra Hockey Stadium to Ustad Aslam Roda Hockey Academy, Tahir Zaman Hockey Academy, Unique Women’s Hockey Academy and their coaches. As well as respecting the teachings of Islam. After that, for more than 3 hours at the ground, National Hockey Head Coach Olympian Khawaja Junaid gave physical training to all the players and various other exercises and hockey drills. Meanwhile, all the hockey coaches present there supported Olympian Khawaja Junaid.
On the same day at 03 o’clock Olympian Khawaja Junaid visited Olympian Imran Rasool Hockey Academy Toba Tek Singh. He was received by Olympian Imran Rasool and other officials of the academy. The head coaches of the Pakistan hockey team also trained the players there on the ground about many modern drills, physical fitness and many modern hockey techniques and later gave lectures to all the hockey coaches on hockey training along modern lines.
Talking to media, Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Head Coach of Pakistan Hockey Team said that according to the vision of Pakistan Hockey Federation, we will now visit different districts of Pakistan and find good and talented players in their districts. Apart from this, coaches of all hockey academies will also be given high performance courses of various hockey coaching organized by Pakistan Hockey Federation. Olympian Khawaja Junaid further said on the occasion that now we all have to work on an emergency basis to regain the lost ground of Pakistan Hockey and for this we all have to forget all the big and small differences and become a team. We have to work tirelessly for the betterment of hockey.
