Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said that the trials process has begun in Punjab’s all nine divisions for the selection of teams for the upcoming First Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship.

The trials of players for the first Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship have started, DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Olakh said. Players are being selected on merit And will consist of officials, 14 players from each division while 4 players will be from Pakistan Hockey Federation, 2 officials from each team, new talent will emerge from the championship.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Olakh has said that full preparations are underway for the first Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship to be held from January 23 to February 5 under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab and in collaboration with Pakistan Hockey Federation. Trials have been started for, players are being selected on merit, recommendation culture has been buried to promote hockey, he said in his statement on Monday that the team of each division will consist of 20 players and officials. 36 players of Pakistan Hockey Federation will also participate.

14 players from each division while 4 players will be from Pakistan Hockey Federation. Pakistan Hockey Federation is forming groups of 4, 4 players who will be included in the teams of the divisions. Each division team will have 2 officials, said Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Olakh. He further said that in the first Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship, the players will get a chance to showcase their talents and new talent will emerge. The championship is a great opportunity for young players to showcase their talent. Training will be provided to prepare for national level competitions. The Sports Board is part of Punjab’s efforts to regain the lost ground in the first Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship.
