09 A Side Super Hockey League organized by Rana Zaheer Hockey Academy will be played between Lahore Dolphins and Lahore Lions on Thursday, January 14 at 12 noon. In the last two league matches on Wednesday, Lahore Dolphins and Lahore Panthers won their respective matches.
The first match of the league being played on National Hockey Stadium Pitch No. 2 on Wednesday was played between Lahore Dolphins and Lahore Lions in which Lahore Dolphins won by four goals to two. Shafqat Rasool scored three goals and Ghazanfar scored one goal while Rana Sohail Riaz and Abdul Manan scored one goal each for Lahore Lions. Special guest of this match was Sadia Sohail Rana Member Punjab Assembly and Advocate Rizwan Zaka.
The second match was played between Lahore Panthers and Lahore Tigers in which Lahore Panthers won by five goals to three. Captain Ahmed Nadeem scored two goals while Rizwan Ali, Yasir Dilawar and Ali Hassan scored one goal each for the winning team while Moin Shakeel scored two goals and Zeeshan Bakhtiar scored one goal for the Lahore Tigers. The special guest of this match was Engineer Azam Hussain Bhatti. The final of the tournament will be played on Thursday between Lahore Dolphins and Lahore Lions at 12 noon.
Today’s matches were supervised by Yasir Khurshid International, Banish Hayat International, Mubashir Ali Chatta and Mazhar Waseem, umpires manager Rashid Mahmood Butt and assistant umpires manager Dilawar Hussain Bhatti. The technical officials of today’s two matches were Saqib Niaz, Israr Jafari, Rizwanul Haq and Shiraz Khurshid Azam. Shafqat Hussain Malik acted as the tournament director while Muhammad Yaqub was the assistant director. Today’s two matches were telecast live on YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/c/GreenShirts) with the services of Pakistan Hockey Federation video analyst Nadeem Khan Lodhi. All the administration and organization of the tournament was handled by the organizing secretary of the tournament, Rai Usman Akbar Khan Kharal. Habib-ur-Rehman Chhatti, the official commentator of the tournament, also performed his duty well in his beautiful style.
